Master in Sustainable Development Practice
Dr. Adelyna Mohammed Akib currently holds a position as a Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Global and Sustainability Studies (CGSS), Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research interest is in the field of conservation and management of fisheries using molecular markers as a complement to the traditional methods in promoting sustainable fisheries practices. She also has been involved in multiple works on DNA Barcoding. She was invited to teach researchers as well as students in statistical methods in genetics for DNA Barcoding and shared her knowledge on BOLD (Barcode of Life Data) systems, both locally and overseas namely, Iran and Vietnam. She is also very involved in giving talks on Sustainable Development Goals focusing on the environment to the USM’s community and the public.
