Master of Science (Teaching of Mathematics)

Dr. Maisarah Haji Mohd joined the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia as a lecturer in 2014 after receiving her PhD from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Her research interests are on areas related to Geometric Function Theory (GFT). GFT is a branch of complex analysis which deals with geometric properties of analytic functions. While GFT can be considered as a classical theory of mathematics, the field remains active with new theoretical results and application emerging from time to time. In line with the current trend, Dr. Maisarah has been presenting her work in GFT at international conferences and has published scholarly articles in several journals.

Besides GFT, she is also passionate about mathematical education. She is part of the academic team of the MSc. Teaching of Mathematics program where she lectures in-service teachers. She also conducts professional development workshops for teachers on STEM education, precisely in mathematics and online integrated teaching tools.
