Master of Psychology (Clinical)
Dr. Mohd Faizal Mohd Zulkifly is a lecturer and clinical psychologist at the Department of Neurosciences, School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia and is trained in neuroscience. He holds a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (2011), a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Psychology (2012) and a Master in Clinical Psychology (2014) from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. In 2020, Dr. Faizal received his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Goettingen, Germany.
Dr. Faizal is an active member of the Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology (CP1-0303), Malaysian Society of Neurosciences (MSN), Society of Neuroscience Kelantan Chapter (SfNKC), and a Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC(CP)00058) certified health professional.
His research areas include brain plasticity, brain oscillations (e.g. EEG), non-invasive brain stimulation (e.g. TMS, tES), neurorehabilitation, acquired brain injury, major depressive disorder (MDD), treatment-resistant depression (TRD) and cognitive rehabilitation. As a practising clinical psychologist, he prefers to combine psychological approaches with neurotechnologies such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and electroencephalography (EEG) to evaluate and treat patients with mental illness/neuropsychiatric disorders.
